Prof. dr. habil. Monika Florczak-Wątor

Professor at the Constitutional Law Department of the Jagiellonian University, Coordinator of Interdisciplinary Ph.D. Program "Society of the Future" at the Jagiellonian University Doctoral School in Social Sciences. Doctor of Legal Sciences (2004), doctor with habilitation in the discipline of law - specialization: constitutional law (2015), master of political sciences - specialization: international relations (2001). Co-founder of Central and Eastern European Chapter of International Society of Public Law (ICON-S), member of: the scientific council of European Law and Governance School in Athens, European Group of Public Law, the legal commission of Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences, the program council of Wiktor Osiatyński Archive, the Legal Experts Group of Stefan Batory Foundation and the executive board of Polish Association of Constitutional Law. Co-founder of Association Democracy in Practice. Secretary of "Przegląd Konstytucyjny" [Constitutional Review] journal, member of the editorial committee of “Zagadnienia Sądownictwa Konstytucyjnego” [Issues of Constitutional Jurisprudence] journal. Author of more than 120 scientific publications, the principal investigator of several research projects. Her scientific interests include: dogmatics of constitutional human rights and liberties, constitutional judiciary, axiology and interpretation of constitution, comparative constitutional law.
