Paulina Jabłońska, Master in Law

Paulina is a Ph.D. Student at the Jagiellonian University Doctoral School of Social Sciences (‘Legal Sciences’ Program) and a Ph.D. Student in the research project “Specificity of the constitutional interpretation by European constitutional courts” (grant in PRELUDIUM BIS 3 call, National Science Centre, PI: prof. dr habil. Monika Florczak-Wątor).

She completed legal studies at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University (2022, diploma with distinction). She also studies sociology at the Faculty of Philosophy at the Jagiellonian University.

Her research work addresses problems in constitutional law, in particular the interpretation and application of constitution. She is associated with the Department of Constitutional Law at the Jagiellonian University, where she prepared Master’s thesis dedicated to confrontational application by Polish courts under the scientific supervision of Professor Monika Florczak-Wątor. Former Chairwomen of the Constitutional Law Students’ Research Group TBSP UJ (2020-2022). Currently, she focuses on a few projects research, which she implements under scientific care of her Mentors’ Professor Monika Florczak-Wątor and Professor Piotr Tuleja. 

Her academic interests include: application of constitutions, constitutional interpretation, pro-constitutional interpretation of law, protection of the supremacy of constitution, constitutional judiciary, constitutional review, as well as principles of the limitations of constitutional rights and freedoms.
